Looking ahead to 2027, there’s encouraging news for those considering Medicare Advantage plans. Federal estimates show that average premiums for these private options are expected to fall by more than 15%, bringing the average monthly premium down to $12 from over $14. Bundled drug coverage within these plans is projected to drop about 40% as well, while extra benefits should remain steady. Nationwide, plan choices will remain almost unchanged, so you’ll continue to have options to review when Open Enrollment arrives—October 15 to December 7. Officials are reminding everyone to take this time to carefully compare plans and find the one that fits both your health needs and your budget. For those who prefer stand-alone drug coverage, average premiums should stay close to current levels, and most people will still have access to enhanced coverage for less than $6 a month. Making a difference for my Medicare members has always been my motivation, and I’m here to help you stay informed about the choices ahead.
